What is Astra Scout?
Learn what Astra Scout is and how it differs from Maestro Studio.
Astra Scout is a native macOS app for mobile testing, built by Astraler. It is a rebuild of the Maestro Studio desktop app: the same editor-plus-device layout and the same local API, with three differences.
- No login, no cloud, no telemetry. Everything runs on your Mac.
- Real iPhones work. Besides the iOS Simulator and Android, you can run flows on a physical iPhone.
- Built-in AI and bug reporting. Use the AI CLI you already have to write and fix flows, and send bugs to Jira.
Flows are plain Maestro YAML files. Astra Scout runs them with maestro-runner, so the commands you write are Maestro commands.
