Workspace configuration

Reference for all config.yaml properties: appId, flows, env, and platform settings.

A workspace is the folder of flow files you open in Astra Scout. An optional config.yaml (or config.yml) at the root of the workspace controls which flows belong to a run and in what order they execute. The file uses the same format as the Maestro workspace configuration.

This page lists only the keys Astra Scout reads. Other Maestro keys are ignored; see Ignored keys.

Supported keys

Key	Description
flows	Glob patterns that select which files are part of the run. Defaults to *, which means only the YAML files directly in the workspace folder. Use ** to search subfolders and {a,b} for alternatives. Prefix a pattern with ! to exclude matching files.
includeTags	Run only flows that have at least one of these tags in their own flow configuration.
excludeTags	Skip flows that have at least one of these tags.
executionOrder.flowsOrder	Ordered list of flow names or file names (without .yaml). These flows run first, in this order; the remaining flows follow.

Details:

• Patterns in flows are matched against each file's path relative to the workspace folder.
• Folders whose name starts with a dot (such as .maestro) are not searched, and config.yaml itself is never run as a flow.
• Tags you choose when starting a run are combined with includeTags and excludeTags from the file.
• A flow in flowsOrder is matched by its name or by its file name without the extension. Names that match no flow are skipped.

Example

With this file, flows flowA and flowB run first (when they are part of the selection), followed by the other selected flows.

Ignored keys

Astra Scout does not use these Maestro keys. They are accepted in the file without an error, but have no effect:

executionOrder.continueOnFailure	Not read; flows are not stopped by this setting.
platform.ios.disableAnimations, platform.android.disableAnimations	Cloud-only in Maestro.
platform.ios.snapshotKeyHonorModalViews	Not applied by the iOS driver.
baselineBranch, notifications.*	Maestro Cloud features. Astra Scout has no cloud.
