openBrowser

Open a URL in the device's browser.

The openBrowser command opens a URL in the device's default browser. To open a link in your app or to handle a deep link, use openLink.

Syntax

- openBrowser: https://example.com
# or
- openBrowser:
    url: https://example.com

Parameters

Parameter	Type	Description
url	String	Required. The URL to open.

Platform behavior

• Android: starts a VIEW intent for the URL (am start -a android.intent.action.VIEW).
• iOS: opens the URL on the device through WebDriverAgent.

An empty URL fails the step.
