defineVariables

Define flow variables from key-value pairs.

The defineVariables command sets variables that later steps read as ${NAME}. Values are expanded first, so they can use other variables and ${VAR || "default"}.

Syntax

Write the variables as a map directly under the command.

- defineVariables:
    USERNAME: demo
    GREETING: Hello ${USERNAME}

Parameters

Each key is a variable name and each value is its text. Values are always text.

Usage example

- defineVariables:
    EMAIL: qa+${TENANT || "dev"}@example.com
- tapOn: "Email"
- inputText: ${EMAIL}

To compute a value with JavaScript, use evalScript. To read a value from a command line, use runShell with output.
